Faced with declining attendance, participation and increased expenses, Knox Concert Series decided this would be its last season after 73 years in the community. It was a very sad day when the announcement was made. My role as the organization's marketing person was to develop a campaign that would honor the group's history and "pass the baton" to future generations. In addition to participating in strategic planning (the organization didn't cease existing, just changed its mission), I developed the visuals for the final concert season and handled all marketing including social media, print and environmental. Sadly, two of the year's concerts were not realized. One group was unable to secure visas; the other was cancelled due to COVID-19.
